The college offers four areas in pharmacy education for new or advancing students, working pharmacists, or other health sciences students seeking graduate training.

Doctor of Pharmacy

The Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) is provided in two programs; one for students seeking the first professional PharmD degree on the path to becoming licensed pharmacists, and the Working Professional PharmD (WPPD) program that allows licensed pharmacists to gain clinical skills and academic requirements to advance from their bachelor’s in pharmacy.

Graduate programs

Students can work toward a master’s or Ph.D. within one of the college’s five research departments. Interdisciplinary online graduate programs provide master’s education in a variety of pharmaceutical studies such as Pharmacy Regulation & Policy and Forensic Science.

Joint degree programs

Through collaboration with other UF colleges, these programs offer specialized advanced education by combining pharmacy with other professions. Programs include, PharmD/ MBA; PharmD/PhD; PharmD/MPH; PharmD/JD; and B.S. in Nutritional Sciences/PharmD.

Continuing Education

The University of Florida College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. Programs meet the requirements for relicensure in most states, and offer courses for continuous lifelong learning, and Certificate Programs in Pharmacy to help practicing pharmacists develop skills in drug therapy management.
